Has anyone that has been laid off been recalled? Any contractual agreement or signing required after verbal offer of your previous job shortly after layoff?

@aw was this after your termination date or before. I am more so curious about if you are recalled after your separation date.
@a1
That was in the layoff docs. It has to be a compariable job within 10% of your original salary.. super sh---y to do but they do it. Also, theres a case of where they could try to reactivate you. (last working day is termination day.. notice means you just don't have a position)
If hired back more than a month after layoff, will severance be effected?
Yes I was offered a job two weeks after I was laid off HR ended up stopping my severance pay and when I went to the new job it was awful the team and manager was extremely rude and refuse to offer necessary training to do the job to best of my ability I would get 30 minutes here and there when they feel like it no polices or procedures documented anywhere on their sharepoint site and they were hiring a bunch of contractors from India to do the work I say there for like 4 months doing nothing until I finally found another job with another company I left UHG after 10 years of service only thing I regret was taking that new job in the first place and not getting my severance pay! I was set up!!
Another su---r employee. When are we going to learn that the leaders of this company are all cut from AW. They don’t care for individuals. We’re all expendables getting meager severance while they get the golden parachute. Most VP in title have gone through the C level on Art of Lying until replaced with golden parachute. Their Sr. Directors are in cahoots and enable their behavior as they like to become VPs themselves as they have perfected the art of spin.
That coworker should have known better than to apply for a job she didnt want with a company headed by the healthcare mafia. Clearly, UHG is the type of company to try any and everything to not pay anyone except CEOs a penny. That was a much too risky poker move.
One of my coworkers with Landmark was laid off with last day on the 13th. They applied for a position that evening. They got a call on the 16th offering the job and was told if they didn’t take it they would lose severance. How do you lose severance when the job was offered after their end date?
