I start my day with the thought this may be my last day here. I do my job to the best I can, but if at 4PM my job ends, its not a surprise. Always be looking for a new job, even if you don't think you need it. Just be aware of who is hiring, always. And never keep anything personal at your desk or the computer.
I don't want to stress if it's just rumors, but I'd like to be prepared if the opposite is true.
