Heard from a couple of folks that Dell is planning to re-buy VMware for a large amount. Any truth to it?

Absolutely not going to happen for at least 5 yrs. VMw has significantly less value today with the market uncertainty around its hypervisor. let Broadcom fix their mess and make it a valuable product again, and maybe. but until then it's full steam ahead with agnostic solutions
VMware is dead, so no.
No VMware of any talent are left. Just the ones hanging on for the RSUs since they have no talent and can’t find jobs elsewhere.
It’s the Broadcom way.
VMw as we know it is toast. Hok Tan severely overestimated VMw's leverage on their top customers. The underlying theme at DTW just behind AI was hypervisor optionality.
What was viewed as an emotional decision last year, has evolved into a rational decision.
VMware is dying, why would we want it back? Everyone I know that worked there got laid off.
VMware is dead under Broadcom, I give it 5 years or less. They are going to squeeze as much money as they can. If one company should be out of business then it is Broadcom, everything they touch turns into sh-t.
I would make no sense for Dell to buy back VMWare. Which is why it makes perfect sense that they would.
Nope Dell sold the Golden goose for a steal. No way broadcom is selling it until after they bleed it dry.
Nope. Fake news.
And Broadcom isn’t selling. They’re printing money.
lol. Not a snowballs chance in he-l MD is going to buy it back from Broadcom.
