heard this rumor, wonder what they will do with it.

@d1+1 You state that like it is some kind of revelation.
'Shedding non-core' should have been the clue.
Thank You for your service, Captain Obvious.
Rumor. Intel barely announced its intention to sell. Only some investment company might buy and rebrand it.
Currently Intel is in the same situation. The CEO is from the investment side, it is in progress to sell little by little. The CEO is not improving the technology, just chop off and wait for chance to sell.
Fake news folks, nothing to see here.
Given that NV have most market share in 200G+ segment and does not have in 1-10/25/100G where NEX have almost 100% it make some sense for NV to overtake the whole market.
Rumor. Nvidia is more advanced, it will be slow and a burden to buy a non-functioning organization from another company.
Intel announced its selling NEX. Nobody said that anyone wanted to buy it.
Ae86 are expensive. Even the junk ones
@a7, I would take a 1986 Corolla, they are cool but damn they are pricey for a decent one.
The why is probably to obtain the IP and monopolize that segment.
No way this is true though. Too much fake news post on here lately.
If that is true, then NEX is lucky !
While the leadership and the vision could be broken, there might be some good workers. Low cost way for NV to acquire some talent.
If NV is sniffing around the graphics team, you know JH has had a head injury.
If I were Jensen I would build that in a year outdated and complete rundown organization
Because it starts with N and they want buy it? Does not make sense. They already have everything they need...unless they are throwing a lifeline like we used to for AMD to survive
Only way Nvidia can save face for using Foundry.
If not complete, and utter, bullsh-t.
Nothing wrong with a 1986 Corolla!
What is NEX and what do they do?
Why? That’s like you going out a buying a beaten up 1986 Corolla with no wheels
Source?
