They are outsourcing lot of SW work to India. so more layoffs today across the ecommerce teams
How many people are remote? I am remote and so wondering if I am next. My team is primarily in India.

I got laid off today. Senior Software Engineer. It seems they are investing heavily in AI and letting go lot of SWE. Even my manager and director is scared what is coming in next few months. They are safe for now at least.

Started at retail to warehouse to home office - are we really surprised at how impersonal the company is, they’ve ingrained it from the beginning they despise employees at the retail level and no amount of perks at the corporate level ever fooled me to think we were ever anything but a well compensated number.
Has a single Indian been laid off in any of the last couple rounds?
The grass is greener, coming from a 15yr tenure laid off 8 years ago and looking back it was the best thing to happen

Sr. Manager laid off this morning,devastated.
Well, I was impacted, and it's sad.
I was told to work through Friday to hand off my projects.
2hrs later, my Corp phone was remote wiped and my accounts were shut down, laptop internet access revoked.
I have no access to communicate, say goodbye, or handoff work.
Fun.
And still haven't been emailed the HR layoff/severance information.
hearing they made changes to severance criteria on the first of the month and now this is happening

Is anyone being offered severance packages? My friend is an associate of over 20 years in IT, excellent evals, etc. She was let go with no severance.
This was the most impersonal layoff. My group had 10 min zoom meetings with a leader that they don’t even know. For me, she read the script, asked for my personal email and then just stared in silence. It took all of 3 minutes. I asked a question and was told to wait to hear from HR. Cold and impersonal.

I was just let go...24 year tech associate. Only one on my team but I think wider area was hit hard. A bit shocked because of my responsibilities but also not huge surprise as ive survived so many of these.
I am a Director and I was let go. Still processing
I was a casualty of the February reduction - long-term, successful associate. Today, my IM is blowing up from former colleagues saying they have just been told their role is also eliminated effective Friday. Different roles, levels, teams, pillars, locations and remote. This is broad-scale impact.
Can confirm all remote associates in infosec are gone.
Homeoffice Infosec here. My director, two teammates, plus others from Infosec were let go this morning. Directors have stacks of short meetings scheduled today. No exact numbers, but several people impacted.
Can you provide a director name that way we can see who is being impacted?
Multiple people on a specific, small, tech team were walked out this morning.
