Managers shifting to new roles are safe. Managers not moving will be part of the great reset in Q3. It's a big one.

Not one enterprise has said "Productivity and engagement is through the roof! Let's ratchet up the monitoring." It's a regrettable last resort.

If you need to monitor and micromanage the people you are managing this much, you are a terrible manager. People are most efficient when given the freedom to manage their time and treated like adults. The measure of performance should be the quality of their work, and not whether they are sitting at their desk or how much time they spend in the bathroom. If a task is not completed, because an employee is not working, that is a disciplinary issue and on the manager. Why punishing everyone collectively, including those who work better in a flexible environment?

You are being paid quite well to do your work. Not roaming the halls, camping out in a restroom, or otherwise away from your desk.

Sadly, we had to install sensors to ensure workers remain on task throughout their work days.
