There will need to be about 3,000 zen gardens built so displaced associates can find peace as they struggle to pay the mortgage. This is what strengthening communities in which EJ does business in looks like? Enjoy the garden, Penny, as others lose their livelihoods.

This firm has been run into the ground since Penny took over.

Meanwhile on the ground floor, associates aren’t even allowed walls.

No more cubicles for you! Welcome to the open floor plan! We want you to collaborate! We want you coughing and sneezing all over each other. We want you zooming in each others faces. And we definitely want you in the office (not) being productive because you have no privacy. “Privacy” is an old way of working. Our new ways of working include reporting to a leader that works thousands of miles away in their home (private) office. They also include reporting up to new leaders who haven’t a clue what you do and don’t care. And they definitely include “out of order” signs on the coffee pots in the break room because there weren’t enough funds left over after making plans for the new coffee bar in the Manchester building. All because “YOU MATTER!”

Wait until you learn that firm leadership has started chartering private jets to many of their events at $3,000+/hr....

That million dollar patio renovation feels trivial next to that. At least the patio has function.

Ted would have a heart attack.

Go look at the Manchester building you can see her extremely large covered Zen garden from the street. Trees and bushes surrounding her place of serenity. It looks like a full blown restaurant on top of the 10th floor that's how large. Plus we're getting a new coffee bar and fireplace in the Manchester building AND all new furniture across the entire 2 buildings. With the bench from Ted's farm gone. It's been replaced with a bench that matches the new furniture. It's amazing how much money just keeps getting spent along with raises for all of the executives while they lay off so many people. We've lost our perspective
