I have been here 22 years and unfortunately this is nothing new. I started when P Garcia was CEO and they have done layoffs every year I’ve been here. Some years the RIFs are bigger than others but it ALWAYS happens. It’s all about money and they could care less about there employees. Sad to say but you just become numb to it

I remember when I was at TSYS the execs did not take bonus in order not to layoff team members. They cared about us. They were in the trenches with us. Cameron and others just keep taking more money for themselves.
To clarify yes the original post was referring to GP not TSYS.
I think the OP was referring to GP. Garcia was never the CEO for TSYS. I'm assuming that was GP. And yes we had a few layoffs at TSYS over the years but they made sense and it was only 2 to 4 over my 25 years. With GP it's every single year. I've never ever been worried about being laid off the way I am today. I think they would be crazy to let me go but I have seen over and over where good, very important, people have been shown the door. I'm at w point right now where it would almost be a relief to be on their list so I can stop worrying about it all the time.
TSYS had its share of layoffs as well. But being with GP has been bad.
“layoff was never a ‘TSYS’ culture. TSYS has had inclusion and always cared about employees. I have been in TSYS for over 15 years and it was a employee friendly organization. Only when global payments acquired it, they messed up the good culture of tsys and brought it down with their antics”
As an employee of another GP owned company (not tsys)- I echo the same sentiment. Before GP - my company cared about us. Management and exec leaders cared about us. The culture was great. Morale was high. Pay has and likely always will be sh---y but working for a company that cared out their employees, having work/life balance and flexibility always made up for the below market value pay.
GP has done a bang up job acquiring and ruining companies and morale.
Sorry to disagree but this is not at all true about TSYS. layoff was never a ‘TSYS’ culture. TSYS has had inclusion and always cared about employees. I have been in TSYS for over 15 years and it was a employee friendly organization. Only when global payments acquired it, they messed up the good culture of tsys and brought it down with their antics
