(RTTNews) - Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (WBA) announced Wednesday it has agreed in principle to financial amounts and payment terms as part of settlement frameworks to substantially resolve opi--d-related litigation.

Under these frameworks, the company expects to settle all opi--d claims against it by participating states, subdivisions and tribes, for up to approximately $4.95 billion in remediation payments to be paid out over 15 years.

The settlement frameworks include no admission of wrongdoing or liability by the company.

ADMIT NO WRONGDOING and pay this kind of money, have you no shame. It's just another one and it doesn't stop. The stock in the last 18 months has BEYOND tanked. You pay your store workers beyond terrible wages yet you pay these settlements and keep paying them yet do nothing for your employees. Your job is about results not excuses. Your results speak for themself.

Regarding the latest opiod settlement, Walgreens kept challenging each new case only to lose and end up paying more than if they settled. Walgreens brought this on themselves by understaffing stores and ignoring numerous red flags. It was all about making money. And if you don't think Walgreens values it's employees, our "leadership" will bend over backwards proclaiming how much they care about us. They certainly have me convinced!
