Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Cuts are over. Now the mess begins.

Since the cuts were made strictly by the numbers, many skilled and experienced people were let go. As a result, even more critical roles will be missing from our teams. Add to that the fact that some teams are now down to skeleton crews, and you get the picture. The workload will double, and efficiency will drop.

I also have no confidence that management will handle the reorg in a competent way that makes our work any less complicated or stressful.

We're at the end game now. Our leaders in corporate will syphon as much money from this company until Medtronic is a skeleton. When Medtronic fails, they will have golden parachutes while we wait in line for unemployment.

Does anyone know when the manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids will be closed? The building has been sold a few years ago.

What I see coming is Managers being told to look for any projects (even if someone else owns it) to help fund there teams next year's budget, Let the hunger games begin, the cut throat's will be out in force this quarter. These leeches will latch onto anything to save their butts.

People will leave because of the increased expectations are that will inevitably come. It's funny how they cut resources but never temper their expectations at all. I'm done.
