He worked for 25 years, and he/she should be a multi-millionaire by now, with 10 houses paid off and driving a Lamborghini. LOL
@ec, did you read the post? No where did it state that the laid off employee worked on DOS and Windows - even in 2000 Microsoft had many other product lines. (I was a 15-year employee who left a decade ago.) Even if he was a DOS pro, I am sure his skillset evolved, as everyone's does.
DOS and Windows? Yes, time to retire, either by Excel or by logic
