Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Read the room C-Suite

Received email announcing leadership change, but none of it was change. It was just shifting chess pieces on the board. No one in a leadership position at that level should be given any opportunity to move up or change, they should be simply shown the door for the current situation the over all group is in. We don't need an old leader who was replaced to be our leader again, or a ceo to become cfo when our groups financial position is in the sh----r. Imagine being promoted because you are incompetent...Oh wait that is how my boss got their job too...

No one asks questions in town hall, questions are planted.

The chief information security officer with little experience was responsible for $2.5B+ in remediation cost. Where is he now??? Golden parachute with NDA to not have to work for rest of his life living the best days of his life. We have professional liars and they are all from the same tree with AW and SH. They built this cr-p and they are in it for themselves and their cronies. We are all in the bowels of the engine room while c suites figure out how to save their own skin before what is good for the company and you. Before you kiss a-s or ask another stupid question in town hall… know that you don’t matter. Think contrary and you are thinking against nature.

Case in point. Everyone was told that AW was stepping down. He sure did step down, right into the role of senior advisor to SH. He announced it at the earnings call to investors on May 13th. The only reason this man stepped down is to take the heat off the company from all the investigations going on. The longer he is there the more bad advertising. So disappear him to another role. There is no transparency at this company, no truth, no honesty. It’s just business as usual and lying to the general public and the employees.

This company is like the mafia. They are just moving the family around. Can you imagine all the secrets they possess. Can’t really afford to make anyone angry and how do you repay their loyalty. Not by whacking them.

Peter principle in action.

To be fair to the UHG C-suite, most C-Suites across all industries that were there in the last 5 years should probably move on immediately. Healthcare/health insurance isn't the only industry in dire straits right now, mostly due to an incompetent C-suite that will never relinquish power.

Another great example would be Nissan. Look at the sheer incompetence there, and they lost out on the Honda merger because of what? Yet again, incompetent C-suite that destroyed Nissan and refused to give up power with the merger.

Looking inwardly and having some self-reflection is impossible for people in those positions, generally speaking.

This company should be treated for what it is: a monopoly. Sort of like Ma Belle, it’s time for it to be carved up accordingly. Anyone have chainsaw? Elon?

Optum (and UHG) have a serious PR problem. The cultural issues in this company Have been growing deep roots for several years. Until they deal with their environmental issues, it doesn't matter who they bring in. Anyone left is suffering from 'battered employee syndrome'..The perception that they are benefiting from their current relationship while feeling that they have nothing to offer another employer.
