Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Weekly Layoff Summary

Not sure if this is useful, but here is what I am getting as a Weekly Layoff Summary, no Intel Here:

  • Microsoft is laying off over 6,000 employees globally, targeting middle management in a structural overhaul focused on efficiency and AI investment.
  • Amazon cut around 100 roles in its devices and services division, with CEO Andy Jassy pushing for fewer managers and a merit-based culture.
  • Panasonic plans to eliminate 10,000 jobs by March 2026, citing high administrative costs and underperforming divisions like consumer electronics.
  • PwC let go of 1,500 U.S. employees, mostly from audit and tax teams, due to low attrition and shifting demand; it will reduce future campus hiring.
  • CrowdStrike is cutting 5% of its workforce (about 500 people) as part of strategic realignment, despite strong revenue growth and hiring plans in key areas.
  • Burberry is slashing 1,700 jobs under new CEO Joshua Schulman to cut costs and refocus on core products amid weak luxury market performance.
  • These layoffs are part of broader cost-cutting and restructuring efforts across multiple sectors.
  • Most companies cited flattening management and shifting focus to core growth areas as key reasons.
  • Microsoft also introduced strict performance policies, including rehire bans and rapid-response PIP programs.
  • The trend reflects a global shift toward leaner, more profitable, and AI-driven operations.

@b8... it is related. It is showing trends in the general market. If you get cut good luck finding your next job with everyone else cutting and making efficiency changes.

Since this is a layoff board the people getting laid off from Intel don't give a sh-t about what is happening within Intel since they are out. What is happening in the rest of the world is more important.

Why are you trolling on Intel layoff board if it isn’t related to Intel OP?
