As managers are being demoted actively now and over the next few weeks, I presume they will lay off engineers also ?

1st week in August there will be a bunch of people manager positions disappearing worldwide. Widening the ratio of managers to direct reports. Common knowledge amongst people in leadership roles.

Nope. It's starting in June. But August 1 (3rd qtr), the Tsunami hits.
What happens when there are no under performing teammates left, and they need a name? Highest headcount cost?
DO THE MINIMUM, do your shift and live happy because in the end we are just heads to count.
Sorry, not buying that. Maybe that was the case the first year of layoffs, but the last August and February layoffs cut some amazing colleagues. No way performance was the reason...

Last time we provided names it took aprox 5 weeks before it was delivered.

Unfortunately in the USA it's more like a kick in the a-s with a very small package.
I'm interested when the final date will be, August perhaps..
when will leaders need to put in the names by? that's the magic date I want to know, I'm going to volunteer to try and get the package.. can't think of a better time to leave Dell with a package if possible, that would be wonderful, the chaos is going to get intense between now and fy end.. that's not a guess, not just key talent loss (already has happened), it's now the coupling with major systems changes with name smes gone, without understanding the ramifications. leaders being forced to say they've got the transitions under control, they don't. although staying could be interesting.... to watch the drama

Frontline and backline agents? Probably in August. Lots of people are still in denial.
Next round is August from what I have been told. Supposed to be bigger than the last round too.
