I know we are all worried about our jobs in the USA but surely they wouldn't send out a bunch of new Chrome Boxes to everyone in the USA if they intend of laying us off right? That just wouldn't make any financial sense. Money to buy them, money to send them, money to send them back, and praying that employees don't destroy them as retaliation and that over seas time in Jamaica is godawful. They will sink the business so hard. They literally have no idea what their job role is or anything. I can't tell you how many times I've called another dept, it was them, and they flat out refused to take the call saying they weren't skilled for it

They have relocated employees to other countries and laid them off less than a year later during one of their mass layoffs. They do crazy things.
Their contract with the other system is expiring. They have no choice but to replace them

Getting a chromebook wont prevent a lay off.
Please don't think that's job security if you destroy it you don't get your paycheck. I'm pretty sure they will always have the upper hand.
I thought the same thing originally but at the same time communication at this company is nonexistent so I don’t know that it means anything
