It's sad that I'm already thinking about the next round, but it is what it is. Does anybody have any idea if we'll get a few months reprieve or if we can expect more cuts already in June (I'm going to assume that we're at least safe for the rest of this month)?

Katie and upper management having a board meeting as we speak!!!
Fort Worth if your reading this just do it. Don't wait around make the shareholders happy now
I heard up to possibly 2,500 across all crafts. Lots of incidents in Mech this past week. They are hitting the rules hard and watching the cameras constantly! They would rather walk you off the property than lay you off. Be careful out there!
I was kind of wondering about the one man crews deal. If the company gets rid of conductors in the cab, after already getting rid of brakeman, that means the only conductor positions with either be RUP positions or yard crews that don’t have an engineer, ie RCO or locals. Essentially if that’s the case, BLET can not negotiate crew consist agreements, so Engineers would have to voluntarily give up their conductor seniority, system seniority, and the ability to hold anything but an engineers spot as most terminals don’t have flow back. Thats the crazy part of this whole ordeal.
No one is safe, the only thing you can guarantee is that the company is going to continue to cut, 1600…1700…will be the tip of the iceberg, let the AAR win its lawsuit for 1 man crews on TY&E, and there will be a massive reset across the system. Not too mention BLET is going to convince engineers to sell their conductor seniority away. This cr-p is getting out of hand, but no one seems to care.
They need to cut more management individuals and pencil pushers. It's probably like the movie office space, where they have 12 people doing the same job but only really need one. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have heard from management that they are going to review manpower across the system beginning of July
"Rumors" I'm hearing is 1700 across all crafts at the end of the quarter.
