How many of you knew Gen 13 and 14 su-ked a-s? I imagine a great deal of you did but the executives at modern Intel only listen to management.
Intel needs a direct link to the CEO with engineers, driver development and validation.
Product launch requires a Go/No-Go checked off by EACH MEMBER of EACH TEAM. Authority should exist for ALL INVOLVED during launch checkpoint and if anyone calls No-Go YOU STOP AND FIX IT. (regardless of job function or perceived importance of employee who called No-Go).
You don't need a bunch of managers (yes men) in charge of product launch. It was done as a checklist in an email in the early days.
This is the way Intel functioned under Andy Grove. It was stressful but it worked.
