Thread regarding Waters Corp. layoffs

Your development is your goal and I love chaos

So does this mean you just do not care about our growth? You are the one giving us chaos!

Easy, say yes until you get the job. Then put the feet up and relax. Been half assing the job for years and the best thing is they are too tight to make anyone long term redundant.

Continue hiring individuals who readily agree with you, and when you encounter someone who even hints at a differing opinion, let them go. I managed to get promoted by always saying yes to their demands. It's amusing to see creative people not getting promoted and feeling bitter when all they needed to do was say yes.

While the Bangalore facility produces columns, Waters Corporation's overall strategy in India also emphasizes software engineering, technology, and product development

Development comes up for me throughout the year, but then when annual review time rolls around it’s like we’ve never talked about it before and all the praise I’ve gotten goes right out the window. It’s the same cycle every year. I’m great and headed for a promotion 364 days out of year, but on review day, I’ve got a lot of things to work on. Anyone else?

Employee development is just a tag line at Waters.

You need to develop yourself @ Waters. And to move up, you need to develop into a yes man who blindly follows the stupid direction of the new management. Sharing your opinion is not rewarded.

We just need to play out the sh---y hands we've been dealt. This leadership will be gone soon.
