At our morning huddle our SM screeched "mandatory attendance on black friday..no exceptions".
Boy oh boy is he in for a surprise.
Ooh I can't wait till those black shrink wrapped pallets come in..you know the ones that say "dont open until Black Friday".

Black Friday always tanks on sales. Don't know why Lowe's even bothers.
You all work retail and complain about the BF sales? What gives? If you worked at a car wash would you complain about a sunny day in the forecast? It arrives every year, same time and date. Same for all of us in retail. It's part of the 'job'.
Black friday is never busy at Lowe's. They make the corp district staff go to stores and show support but they just get in the way and are awkward. Grossly overstaffed and no customers. every single year.
Screams of the continual sears mindset that has taken over Lowe's.
I'd like to up the number to 80K call outs. Take that Lowes. FU Melvin.

Every year we watch the karens mob the poinsettias and that's all folks. The store staff outnumber the customers. Then the pain in the a** DM scurries in to pi** everyone off. No one cares about buying at lowes anymore. Maybe just mulch but pretty much dead every BF. Sleep in instead.
Work for blows for 13 years have called out every black Friday and I plan on calling out on this one no one has ever said a word to me no one cares two years ago I actually got promoted in December 😂
Those who decide to go in will regret it like each year knowing Blowes Black Friday is exaggerated hype. You got the poinsettia freaks who buy them all up by 7a and after that it's dead. Standing around doing nothing. The BF mega sales are OVER. Buy your food water and potassium iodide instead while you can.
At least 5 here are stealth planning to call out at our location on BF, and the movement is afoot throughout our district. The district mgr is a HD retread and we hope to send a message.
I don’t know if it’s changed. Used to be in order to get paid holiday pay for Thanksgiving you had to work BF, Sat and Sun. If you called out they wouldn’t pay the holiday.
Ignore their threats of "instant termination". I've been here 7 yrs and countless people call out on BF and keep their job. BF is false hype.
Whole company should call out. Let the managers sit by themselves. It would send a big time message to corporate we are sick of their cr-p.
