No one is safe. People are laid off because someone did a date dump to excel, performed some sort from largest to smallest, and picked those people to be laid off.

You can have perfect attendance, and zero performance issues and still get laid off.

If you consistently "go above an beyond", your consistency will become the norm for your boss. This will make life harder both for you and your colleagues. At the same time, it is unlikely that you will get any sort of raise or promotion or anything except a pat on the back. Don't go above an beyond. No extra pay, no extra work. Period. No more US propaganda to work hard etc. BS

Watch out...holiday cheer mixed with more layoffs. 2019 it was Christmas week the cut loose a bunch of employees. In this recession I would expect the same to prop up 4th quarter earnings.

The sr ca’s in Optum beh health call centers that don’t take calls need to go. They’re making 90 k and complain about doing work. The entitlement is disgusting! Drain the swamp!

No area is safe, performance scores don't matter. It is a head count and salary slashing game and NO ONE is safe.
