There's talk about layoffs that are slated to happen sooner rather than later in NBC Tech Ops. Does anybody know more about it? It's really hard to get any official info on something like this even if there should be at least something. I guess transparency was never important to those in charge.

just had a team meeting. it doesn't seem like we'll be immediately impacted but I do see redundancies being eliminated early next year from management down.
There's nothing transparent about layoffs. If you get a weird unexpected email or Teams message to come to an office or conference room, don't answer. Grab what you want to take with you and go home. Text your boss that you had a personal emergency. That night clean out your laptop & phone, grab all of your contacts, and documents, and get ready for tomorrow. The next day wear your best office clothes and get a haircut before heading in. Also, if you are close to the end of the month, consider taking time off to get to the first of the month, that way your health care will be covered (not COBRA) till the end of the next month.
