Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Meanwhile I’m just resting and vesting

Hey ESG folks, working hard to stay relevant? Lol.
Here at Symantec’s Singapore office, we’re just chilling and following the badge-in, badge-out policy. Some of us just tap our badge and head back home right away, while most don’t stick around after lunch. Ironically, even 2 of our managers do the same, walking out with their bags during lunchtime.

A few times a year, we pretend to be in the office the whole day just to give the VP the impression that we’re working. Whose master plan? Of course, the managers. I barely do any real work, yet I’ve survived round after round of layoffs.

It’s what happens when the scüm of the earth like HT run a company - everyone for themselves and be sure to take advantage of the system before the system throws you out like last weeks trash and pi---s on you for good measure.

Do you ever worry this kind of post could be used as evidence if HR or leadership stumbles across it?

Is this a symptom of poor leadership, or just a byproduct of a system that stopped caring?

Some people perform. Others perform the system. You’ve clearly mastered the latter — and honestly, that’s the smarter play.

How does it feel seeing coworkers who actually try get cut while you coast through the layoffs?

Is this something that everyone in the office is just silently agreeing to, or is it more of an open secret?

Other folks are out here chasing ‘exceeds expectations’ ratings while getting axed anyway. You’re doing less, lasting longer — that’s efficiency.

No wonder ESG is downsizing—people like you are the reason.

As if this is an employee and not yet another bitter terminated troll. Symantec Singapore, sure pal.

Cut the nonsense — most of the Singapore team members are genuinely hardworking and effective.

Proud of slacking off while others lose their jobs? Pathetic.

You’re not surviving layoffs because of your skills. You’re just lucky to be shielded by incompetent managers who enable this nonsense.

It’s a clear example of workplace dishonesty. If this is your team culture, it’s only a matter of time before the whole thing collapses.

Enjoy your comfort while it lasts because when leadership finds you, your badge won’t be the only thing getting deactivated. Your time will come.
