Seems like India MD - Som Satsangi will be "retiring from HPE" after more than 27 years in service. Another way of saying WFR.. Looks like the firing is hitting HPE from all places, including at leadership level.

Som planned his retirement in 2024. This place is in flames but Som is not a WFR or a recent development, just recently announced to the broader team.
HPE will remain HPE until Antonio is forced out. With that should come wholesale changes in The America's storage leadership team.
India Supply Chain is why HPE is crumbling... Cheap labor is cheap.

“ Does MD = medical doctor ? “
Not in this context.
I’m at HPE and this is true. Unfortunately the layoffs seem to be random (ex each department asked to cut a % no matter their overall performance.).
My team lost one of our BEST people this week.
Cuts need to be done with more precision. Way too much reporting and busy work happening just to make middle management look good. Start there, and let me do some actual work.
