Don't be scared Bill. Just tell your secretary not to take calls and go hang out on the yacht for the next 10 or 20 years. It's NOT like anyone will notice! Heck, For may even become profitable?

@ab, we could leave that statement as "so many useless supervisors" without any qualifiers and it would still be accurate and cover a wider base ;)

The response below is mixed, but let’s be real—there’s a ton of people exploiting the Ford system, especially in the higher-ups like LL6, LL5, and supervisory roles, most of whom aren’t even remotely qualified for their positions. Meanwhile, a small handful of people are actually busting their as--s while the rest ride the wave.

If you weren't scared to quit that'd be normal. But paralyzed by fear? No. If you have another job offer do the needed work of evaluating if its a better overall deal. The key is to have offers in your back pocket when layoffs happen. Gives employers less control over you which is how things should be.
