Most information-only jobs can be sent wherever there’s an internet connection available (and Elon Musk has made that pretty much everywhere).
Most white-collar jobs at Ford only require a computer and an internet connection. Most of the time people sit at their rent-a-desks typing, reading or in video meetings.
But this has been the way for the last 25-30 years. I don’t know what’s keeping them so long.
