Thread regarding Ford layoffs

GitHub Gatsby

Used to think Ford was building cars—turns out we were just vibe coding in Figma and naming commits “final_final2_thisOneFixesIt”. The CVS org? It wasn’t Connected Vehicle Software. It was Confused Vibes and Slack.

You’d spend half your sprint making a slide deck for a feature no one asked for, then burn the rest “aligning stakeholders” who ghosted the meeting. Code reviews? Nah—just a vibe check and a “looks good, ship it.”

Heard the Ford LLM was trained on mid-year self-assessments and TikTok captions. One guy pushed a 600-line PR with no description and said, “Let the code speak for itself.” Another filed a Jira ticket titled “resolving stuff.”

Now they’re laying off the CVS team like it’s spring cleaning for stale branches. RIP to GitHub Gatsby and the dream of pushing vibes to production. Hope you committed your severance to main.

We found him everyone. Wrap it up. We found the village id--t (out of many id--ts) within model e. This mo--n really thought figma which is akin to the adobe xd we use internally when it comes uiux wire framing and prototyping is something that was used for vibe coding. Tell me you don’t know design nor coding without humiliating the entire department for paper tiger insecurity. You all like to blame cvs but you need to blame id--ts like op who feel so brash to make jokes that just embarrass the entire company with its confidence. The security team is a fu--ing joke too and GDIA mishandles internal data, spending more time looking at individual employee data during work hours because they are curious. You make jokes about aligning stakeholders yet those stakeholders are the very ones that impose interim corrective actions that require approval such as from security… and they certainly would not ghost such meetings so kudos to them on that front at least. Regarding commits, tell me you don’t understand what a CI/CD pipeline is and how merging works in feature branches from your own working branch, not to mention squashing those merge commits in a PR. Whoever op is that feels so high and mighty should get a raise because I heard all the employees here are genuinely suffering from collective stupidity. Op certainly used an llm to make his “roast” coherent yet failed to land a single jab that actually connected not the mention the missed cross (all lights green on the roast to it seems!). Instead of using spending time hating without being good due to being out of depth trying to convince your fellow id--ts that you are versed and thus competent enough to deliver something constructive with moral superiority, perhaps you should go look at those book tiktokers that virtue signal so you can learn what not to do and be inspired to actually put down yourself and look inwards to know that you can’t begin to know what the fu-k you are talking about. No wonder you all embarrass Michigan; all enablers. why doesn’t anyone try to educate you? Is it because they aren’t educated themselves? Also jira tickets and commits or whatever shut up dude honestly you sound miserable. Like a hater who is mad they don’t have skills to focus on actual work. All this nonsense hate because someone triggered you by keeping it real. Maybe if you look inwards you’ll learn you’re the issue in repo that has been left unsolved. Making sh-t up as if you get stuff done just like mo--ns counting sprint velocity as if you think you can see output of one’s efforts that way. You think people just go off vibes. People off common sense, or lack thereof clearly because none of your jokes are logical like how would you quantify or know if someone spent time on a slide deck? Would it be in the jira? I don’t think so because these clowns do retros then create stories and estimate points for the sprint… so tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about while telling me you also don’t know how to prompt the llm to even remotely sound like you know what you’re talking about. In actuality what you meant to say is they washed that sh-t up and did way more on top of that and you try to minimize and discredit sh-t because you want others to be lower than you… you do a good job discrediting yourself by accident. Now you get to embarrass your company when they read this reply.

Until software people start showing up in office I don’t see how any layoffs could make a difference. If you’re not in the office collaborating and walking to your coworkers, you aren’t productive.

Shying away behind a computer screen in your living room is not conducive to a productive employee.

I doubt we’re going to feel anything from the layoffs. I’d love to be proven wrong
