Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

Stop being your biggest enemy

The work-life balance here is nonexistent, but the worst part's that most people work after hours just to prove they’re working hard, even when there’s no real need. The whole atmosphere is so draining that it ki-ls any real motivation. At the end of the day, you’re just left wondering why anyone thinks this is the right way to run a business.

One big problem is the execs have no vision. Look at each one and review their resume, was any one of the VP/SVP/CEO level folks a superstar that left another company? You will find the answer is "NO", they basically were pushed out of other companies and definitely were not on a growth path, but they land at GF and become a high-level exec. That should tell you that the exec team is a bunch of under-achievers who are just riding out their time collecting their high salaries at GF while having no vision and being no real leader. One direct example is look at the CTO, he was basically pushed out at Freescale and going nowhere then ends up climbing up the ranks at GF, for what? He did nothing to make the company better. The examples go on and on ..... You want to make GF great for the first time, clean house at the SLT level and start over!!
