They brought in BCG and have been prepping well ahead and there is more to come. Product is next, it’s a bloated house of new folks doing nothing making ki-ler money and existing talent being brushed to the side and blamed for poor features.
They're absolutely not performance based, they're either random or based on salaries. Many GSRs and LLs that were doing valuable engineering work were dropped while a lot of clowns were kept around to sink us again in the next round of layoffs!

Does anyone can give an estimate how many people are there in CVS including contractors?
For TAs it might not be performance based. But for GSRs,I believe it was based on performance. Basically if you are colloquial, you are at risk. They had given 2 weeks of time for people from FNV4 to adapt, which made people on FNV2/3 also at risk
They are never performance based. lots of TAs get cut.
It's salary based. Make more?! You're more likely to get it.
Performance based
Of course, the cuts are NOT performance based. They are color based. Just look in the mirror. If your nose is brown, you are safe!
It appeared to be focused on agency workers in our team and completely random
Definitely not performance based.
Probably performance based, I could see people in FNV2 also gone. And supervisors as well
