Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

US Benefits

Anyone else battling BCBS and CVS this year? We have spent days and HOURS on the phone with people who are completely clueless related to a cancer medication. The manufacturer will cover the full cost of the name brand above a small copay paid by me. CVS and/or BCBS says no. We must use the generic to the tune of $800 per month with their co-pay “assistance”. Again, the cost will be on the manufacturer, not the health plan or ENB. I have heard from various others that they are fighting with CVS as well. Is this localized or more widespread? Just another cost cutting way to get rid of us?

And why are we suddenly having to provide marriage certificates and birth certificates for our wife and kids? Kids are under 5 and I added them when they were born. Makes no sense. Everything at this place is like a big brother no trust state now. So much for our culture.

I noticed my prescriptions about doubled this year. Although it’s all generic and quite cheap to begin with but percentage wise it was still jarring.

It’s the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) that Enbridge has selected and allows to make immense profit off of us and the company (though most companies fall for the lies that the rebates back from the PBMs will help keep costs down). In our case it is CVS that owns the PBM, the specialty pharmacy and the local pharmacies. Vertically integrated monopolies. There is no price transparency. You cannot see anything on your bill, in the app, online, through a call. It’s all in a black box. It’s a lose/lose/lose for employees, employers, and prescribers. CVS is the only winner even if that means you or your family don’t live.

Just be thankful you or one of your dependants isn't diabetic!

Something is definitely going on. I just tried to pick up a new 90 day prescription and it is over $50 with our insurance. I asked for the price without insurance and it’s $6 for 90 days.
