I'm going to be put on PiP from Monday, no performance issues in the past 10 years. I openly asked if this is being done to kick me out without a package and, to my astonishment, my manager ran away! I took.it as a yes.

HR really lost its edge after Steve Price left. Both him and his team were able to actually hold MSD and the ELT team accountable. His replacement? All smiles, taking orders, passing it down the order taking chain, no real pull anymore. Kind of a shame.

yes. always been that way. then it swings back to employees and you get a lot of company jumping. these ebbs and flows are normal

I am never committed to one company and treat the relationship as purely transactional. So I dont get upset when the other party does likewise

Sorry about that - I’m the Op and I realized most people won’t be able to use the link. the gist of the story is that management feels the pendulum has swung back their way and they can now treat employees as sh-t.
