Just got back from using some vacation time, and wow, what a difference a week away makes. Same old mess here, but being free of the daily nonsense gave me some much-needed breathing room. I was hanging by a thread before I left, and while I’m not ready to walk away for good, this break was overdue. If you’re feeling drained, take the days. It’s worth it. You don’t realize how much this place wears you down until you step out of it.

Freedom will soon taste sweet to me as it is painfully clear now that the latest insult for a merit increase indicates this place no longer needs to retain my services. This place needs me way more than I need it. I will not work for less money again this year. I can get by without the headache and long hours
I'm taking a forever vacation. If you need time off because you can't cope then it is not the right job.
I hope the rest and relaxation has refreshed you, and you can hold onto the feeling for at least a week. I knew it was time to leave when those warm fuzzy feelings were gone after a few hours in the office.
You should’ve gotten an approval from Justin for 4 weeks!!
Important for mental in any job to vacay without office connect. Life is not endless 9 hour days and sapience but time (which is precious) to be enjoyed on a beach with martini. A sunset and warm nights on Aruba. Life can be short. I know from personal experience on 9/11/2001
