How many managers can we cut and still run smoothly? Actually, let me rephrase that - how many LAYERS of managers? How many of them are just meeting-hoppers with barely any direct reports? What exactly is their purpose in the company? Someone, please enlighten me if I’m missing something obvious here.

Non union site, provides perfect breeding ground for management incompetence.
Lay off the IRD golf outing. That’s how we find out which managers have wives that aren’t faithful.
They are due to rotate some managers and hopefully IRD’s is in the mix. Hate that things are so bad. Hang in there robinson
Good ol’ IRD United Way Golf outing. No shame of managers, just proving they can disappear for 6 days and not be missed. Want to make MPC more efficient? Check the security logs of who gave themselves an extra 6 day vacation on Marathon’s dime. Best of all, we will probably even see a DUI promotion out of it.
The worst part about all the extra fat in Robinson is that none of them know what is going on. I brought several major issues up over the years and my manager couldn’t have cared less. He more or less told me to shut up. The people in the office building just look across the track and smile, they think it’s all running well and they go back to doing nothing while everyone on the other side of the tracks is busy working around their sc--w ups. This has been going on for years.
Nobody at the top in Robinson wants to do what is necessary to fix it because that would require they fire the person they see in the bathroom mirror every morning.
Managment: Hi. It’s you. You’re the problem. It’s you.
Never thought I’d see the day Robinson’s morale was so bad that a site called the layoff is littered with comments about it. Heard there’s now a survey group running around the plant trying to figure out why everyone there is so miserable now. I’m so sad that things are falling apart there culturally and that no one at the top wants to do what needs done to fix it.
We gettin sc--wed with all this management waste….lots of management kids working here for free paychecks. No value added
I always said that someone could come in to Robinson and cut fifty to a hundred people out of middle management on the org chart and nobody would notice. Just tell employees Monday morning to answer to the next guy up the chain still standing. The crude rate wouldn’t change a drop.
I think we have tipped over at Robinson. More salary people than actual workers. It’s kind of crazy how many layers of management there are now. You watch successful modern companies streamline and the old legacy “oil” companies double down on the old ways.
