@OP I know several who've taken jobs at store bakeries, which are refiring production to improve overall product quality.
So hyvee is honoring long term employees by putting them back on the side of their trucks. I hope this isn't a omen for what's to come. Last time they did that putting employees on their trucks they started burning the ships and had to redo all their trucks as they started getting rid and firing long term employees and it wouldn't look good if they had pictures of long term employees on their trucks that they fired to cut their labor costs.43
I read that they were given the opportunity to work retail. I know that a young gal at my store (omaha) took a job in the bakery. So did her three daughters who all worked at the central bakery here.
