Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put an ARM chip in a box? Hmmm, very interesting.

Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.

Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy ARM chip in a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.

Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.

Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that ARM chip in a box under your pillow at night, the PC Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?

Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?

Tommy: The point is, how do you know the ARM chip provider isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model PCs" says the vendor; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.

Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a ARM chip in the box?

Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of sh-t. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and call it a PC chip, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

Ted Nelson, Customer: [pause] Okay, I'll buy from you.

Tommy, Richard Hayden: ...What?

The Qualcomm snapDragon CPU on ARM, with microsoft co-pilot, works really well. I had the qualcomm laptop for a year and is very satisfied with it. This proves ARM PC is working well. No doubt Nvidia and MediaTech are Intel's competitors with ARM CPU.

Haha. Intel tied its wagon to a boat anchor. How long did you think maintaining X86 & Wintel was going to be a great business plan? You've just been tossed under the bus. Even Microsoft knows everything runs better on ARM.

PC market lost = Intel bankrupt

Intel is losing big in all angles.

ARM PC is spreading, more coming side by side with Qualcomm SnapDragon.

AI cloud infrastructure: Intel is not even a mention.

IFS: since Intel is a competitor, no big company (Nvidia, AMD, ...) would want IFS to manufacture their product for security purpose (as Intel can steal their design).

x86 will eventually lose to ARM, but not sure I'd want to use any of these early releases.

Intel has spent billions on PC security, much like how Microsoft has done.

It is one thing to offer competitive performance, and something else entirely to offer security.
