I’m hearing (not validated yet) our current CEO is being forced out and will return to Tokyo at the end of the year. Not sure who the replacement will be. But a lot of changes will be coming in the next 7 months. Layoffs, moving offices, massive restructuring, and more

Kobayashi will not be ousted. However, as a "fixer" CEO it's he will be assigned to the next regional division of the company that Canon Inc. wants to trim down. He spent a year in Canada and did the same thing there that he did to CUSA - gut and restructure. As a much bigger operation, CUSA will take longer than a year to gut and restructure. He isn't going anywhere until his task with CUSA is complete, and then he will move on to the next division of Canon.
He's already completed most of the "gut" part, but that isn't finished. This post is absolutely correct - more layoffs are indeed coming, so get ready to have the rug pulled out from under you again very soon. The Melville office is absolutely being moved as the building has been, or will be sold before the end of Q3. Third floor being cleaned out is for demo and staging purposes for buyers - there is absolutely no other reason why the floor was cleared.
As for a new CEO in 2026 that's debatable. It's unlikely Kobayashi's mission in CUSA will be complete by then. Maybe 2027. An operation the size of CUSA cannot be restructured in so short a time.
I can’t stand the guy, but this is just nonsense to post this.
Even if it does happen, he will just be replaced by another Japanese guy.

First, let me begin by educating you on this ridiculous post. Sammy is not going back. Sammy sits on the board of directors at Canon Inc. Just because you may not like his style, don’t spread false rumors. Also, genius, the buildings or reductions are all fake. We have good leadership at Canon, and we have great employees. Just because you failed as a human and an employee does not give you the right to spread false narratives.
