Thread regarding Ford layoffs

This place is nuts

This is been one of the craziest weeks I've had working for this company.

No details on where I work or for what division.

This week has been an absolute cluster bleep of incompetence and stupidity the likes I have not seen in my long career here.

There are so many people at this company in positions of "leadership" even at low levels that would have been shown the door in the early stages of my career.

I have no idea what happened to this company over the past 10 to 15 years but I absolutely amazed by the people I interface with on the daily basis.

Basic level knowledge that that are still relevant and important to the day-to-day operations of this company are non-existent at best and pathetic at worst.

The people who I have interfaced with this week would have been shown the door in the infancy of my career at this company.

It truly blows my mind but I hope that this company can get back to the level of competence and professionalism that I looked up to 20 years ago.

Oh no why is my company failing. It’s certainly not because I have trust issues and need to ki-l workforce in Michigan. Don’t worry. We will just offer to fill jobs (which we didn’t do and stole Michigan taxpayer money instead btw), buy emission credits, get a 2 billion dollar grant from the DOE and call it a day

Farley wanted to change the culture of the company and they did.

So is that why they got rid of all the older people who knew how things used to be?

You know… that’s a page right out of the National Socialist’s playbook. The NZs canned all the managers over 40 in the German companies and replaced them with younger folks. Not because they would be better at making things, but because they wouldn’t complain about doing silly things the Party way.

I smelly envy. They didn’t teach you about envy and jealousy do they? We eat that sh-t for breakfast. You probably never learned to deal with it because you haven’t been in the situation.

Niveau sieht nur von unten aus wie Arroganz

With FNV4 cancelled, does that push back the plugin hybrid Bronco?

I think that the root cause of Ford's problems is lack of college hiring diversity. I am sure they have hired from Brown University in the past. They just need to stop recruiting from Brown-nose University! Lots of luck with that idea!

That is what you get when you hire people with zero relevant experience off the street and give them LL5+. Pretending that they are somehow going to meaningfully contribute. Totally opposite of the rules we with experience were told that unless you had reams of experience and sponsorship we could not possibly dream of.
