Stop kidding yourself, Elliot is here to make a fast buck at your expense. Just look at their track record. The only thing I'm surprised at is how long it took for Elliot to jump aboard this train.
Not defending anotonio but there are thousands of people in other companies that don't feel elliott saved them. Just because those businesses are still around doesn't mean there weren't layoffs that led to the 'do more with less' syndrome so elliott could maximize their profits before pulling out. They aren't in it for the long game of a healthy company.
