Does anyone know if there are any sales layoffs coming up or are they just trying to lay on the pressure to get sales to quit?

They appear to be hiring young people with next to no experience and hopefully AI Chat will even everything out. Hahahaha!
The underlying objective appears to be phasing out long-tenured in-role reps, particularly those with over 10 years at Dell. Either through increased pressure or strategic attrition.
There will be additional layoffs across all functions through FY26 and into FY27.
Even where departments may not be reducing headcount and are actively hiring, the mandate is “relentless talent management” - which means getting rid of tenured and higher earning individuals to be replaced with a junior (augmented by AI) workforce which is significantly cheaper….
Probably just getting rid of some big salaries. Otherwise, they are approving reqs across several countries and segments (at least in EMEA).
ELT is persuaded we are losing market share because we don't have enough sales, not because we have bad products or high prices.
