The HED Marketing & Strategy team was hit pretty hard with layoffs last week, no news on whether Sales was impacted or will be. It’s kinda crazy how they are moving way more knowledgeable people under that newer VP who has no idea what hes doing,rumor has it they’re pushing him out too. Lots of good ppl lost with what seems based on favoritism/politics but probably from the consultants. Pretty toxic environment over there but hope they can fix it for the good ones left

Cengage does not "reorg" - they slash and burn. And yes, most people don't like to see their counterparts losing their livelihoods. Maybe this is something you enjoy seeing though?

Ah, the greatest hits: favoritism, politics, clueless leadership, and of course, the consultants did it. You’re really checking all the boxes. Just say “I’m mad my friends got laid off” and move on, it’s more honest than this dramatic fan fiction.
