Boeing-to-Sell-Portions-of-Digital-Aviation-Solutions-to-Thoma-Bravo-for-10-55-Billion

Looks like Jeppesen will be a part of the sale:
""We are proud to be investing in such an important technology platform in the broader aerospace and defense industry," said Holden Spaht, a Managing Partner at Thoma Bravo. "With a heritage dating back to the 1930s, Jeppesen has been at the forefront of technological innovation for nearly a century. We are excited to build on this track record and power its next phase of growth."

It will be really good for Boeing's bottomline in the short term.

Thoma will also fire a lot of non-performing long timers from Jeppesen and other similar groups. It's a win-win for everyone.

It is no d-mb for the company to sell good assets when they are $53 Billion in debt. They need the money to fund their commercial and space divisions.

Kind of a d-mb move since DAS/DSA/(whatever it is called this month) made money.

Boeing held them back, so they will probably make much more money now. They will need to ditch the DEI cr-p, but there are good people within the business unit.

How will Thoma deal with the DOGE bros decimating FAA and all controls that Jepp works off.
They will try to replace all systems with their own Elon-bro systems.
They are manipulating the system into a monopoly owned by themselves.
I don't see any hope of any independent companies surviving in this domain.

BA is selling what they can and keeping what they can't sell. Like during the GFC, the mortgage companies sold their good loans in order to offset their bad loan losses. Their commercial division is analogous to a bad mortgage loan.

Jeppesen was saved by Boeing. Now they will slink back to being stagnant and obsolete.
All power to Thoma Bravo to reduce that deadwight.

It will be good for Jeppesen. They can leave the Boeing *hitshow and go back to their roots.
Jeppesen is a trusted name and was getting maligned by association with Boeing.
