Thread regarding Disney layoffs

Not a lot of layoff-related chatter

I'd like to take that as a good sign, but I'm also a realist and this seems like the calm before the storm more than anything. Anyone else getting that same uneasy sense? Any thoughts of what we might expect or am I really just being paranoid (which I truly hope is the case)?

I think it's more about what effect the economy will have on the workplace. That'll be what dictates (excuse the pun) how these industries perform and how they react and respond.

Back in 2008/2009 when the economy tanked, a lot of vendors for companies like Disney went under, because their clients (like Disney) had to reduce their spending capability.
