I get that Intel doesn’t deserve our best effort right now, but I just can’t bring myself to slack off. I take pride in what I do, even if no one else cares. Maybe it’s stubborn, but I’d rather keep my standards high until I’m out of here. Sometimes it feels like I’m the only one who thinks this way.

No one will ever know the difference. You'll most likely get caught in the next layoff because you are just a random WWID to them. Cheers, you koolaid drinker.
Is that how def met team keeps skating by?
You wonder why Intel employees are blackmailed?
Low integrity.
Nothing has changed just the facade and mask is off. People are seeing the real Intel that was well hidden before.
Seems like integrity is gone at Intel.
Not surprising.
The culture of excellence has left the company years ago.
The sad thing is that OP is actually the deadwood that is about to be discarded.
But he does seem to have a high sense of self esteem, so he has that going for himself.
Stay strong folks and prepare for a different future; even if it’s not necessary. Its no fun being on a losing team but don’t let it define you. Don’t listen to the immature trolls here; nothing has been decided.
I don't believe OP is struggling.
I am used to being a kick a-s performer and have a long history of doing so.
I’d like to bust my tail and feel like it’s moving the needle since our careers are destroyed.
But after years of being gaslit by management, I am resigned to living out my paycheck knowing there’s nothing I can do that will matter anyway. Debilitating and shameful. Life circumstance really dictated it, but I fuhking HATE myself for staying at Intel so long and think about offing myself a lot. Not getting off, mind you, though that would probably come before the offing.
That's everyday here layoffs or no layoffs everyone works 10 to 3
Many of these id--ts who post don’t even work at Intel. Don’t let it discourage you.
Yup, switching back and forth between telling everyone incl my mgr to f-off and wanting to do my best work to help turn the company around.
People around me aren't helping.
In some sense I want to learn your way of thinking, just so long as it doesn’t wreck my WLB.
You are not the only one
What a d-mb post
That's because you're H.R. Nobody would write that on a layoff board. Id--t!
