Ford has issued recalls and implemented TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) related to the 10R80 10-speed transmission in several models. These issues primarily involve shifting problems, including harsh/delayed engagement and shifts, and in some cases, sudden downshifts or neutral engagement. While some issues have been addressed through TSBs, a class action lawsuit has also been filed, alleging ongoing problems with the 10R80 transmission. King of RECALLS !!!

How about that Ford management? A two-fer! Swimsuits and lawsuits. And colorful at that! LMAO!
Just check the box that you want the GM 10R80 when you order your F150.
No one really want to buy American made anymore. Poor quality, poorly designed, inefficient, and expensive. No thank you.
Hmm. Co-designed with GM. But GM doesn’t have these issue that I know.
Read the book A Savage Factory about 70/80s Ford transmission assembly. (By Dewar). Again, wit da transmissions... what is up with Ford and transmissions over the years? It is like they assume that they are less complex than they actually are (see: Ford policies in general) and then get nicked by reality. And EVs were going to solve it because: No transmissions. Joke's on them, as they will soon coast on golden parachutes to Florida. Oh wait... that means the joke's on us.
These transmissions are from Livonia and Sharonville plants. Best of the best.
