Covid exposed the weaknesses in the global supply chain.
I believe there is going to be a consortium of foreign high-tech companies around the TX triangle (Dallas - Houston - San Antonio): TSMC, Samsung, NVDA.O, Foxconn, Compal, Samsung, Soulbrain TX LLC (Samsung's supplier), Tokyo Electron. all are rushing to TX. They are mainly Taiwanese, South Koreans and Japanese. This is a cluster of semiconductor, electronics, and advanced manufacturing firms taking shape, forming what may become a North American counterpart to East Asia’s supply chain ecosystems. As these companies start moving into Texas, more companies will come as a domino effect in the supply chain relocation. It's good for Dell that signaled they wanted to be out out China during the Biden's administration. This is a major strategic shift in the global supply chain and semi-conductor industries.
In my area (I can't disclose my location sorry) there are huge upgrades on the electric network and road system to facilitate the relocation of these foreign companies. It's good for Dell and it's bad for China. The U.S. is going to reclaim some of the manufacturing and tech jobs that were lost overseas in the 1990s.
Most US based tech companies have been using ODM/JDMs for more than 20 years. This is in response to changes to our trade policy. More jobs coming back to the United States.
Interesting. The company is a contract maker of notebooks as well as AI servers that use Nvidia (NVDA.O), tab chips. Are we thinking that Dell may be bought out? I can tell you, there are alot of top priority 'projects' going on right now that make us believe that something is in the works.
