Wonder why they need this replacement when the previous VP has left for months and business is as usual. Too much budget?
Years of service does not mean you get promoted. That’s a false equivalence. MM is a visionary leader.
.... and another several directors being added... just how many directors and up do we need? Why is it we need so many more these days? Poor reflection of top level leadership. 3 more SVPs than ever before in history of IT and a bunch more ridiculous directors that have no clue and bring zero value. Smurfy and his Q sidekick can go. Peter got paid millions per year. BB is by nature very cheap on spending (re: employee recognition program). Tiremans replacement is going to want Tireman money. BB will likely ante up soon. Expect one of his friends to take the job. That's what appears to be the case in other hires.
As for ESC, the next person will only contribute to more chaos. He or she will likely feel the need to compete for attention. Why not a swift 10 percent haircut? With no thoughtful planning. That's the BB way.

If one knew how much undermining MM is responsible for - either formally to embarrass any hint at advancement, or informally through his terrified staff - they would walk him out the door.
Hope the new PG replacement properly assesses this for BB. This guy is literally running with the Money Potty playbook of cancel-not approve anything unless it’s perfect, forgetting that our business was created and sustained on agility.
