Yes, this is true. I used to work there and still talk to my friends who are in leadership within Optum. There will be a RIF in July.
Estimated 2025 Q2 Earnings Report: Tuesday, July 15th
Source: Zach's Investment Research. Eventually, after the date is confirmed, the date is updated.
Past patterns of large RIFs (1K+): ~2 days after Quarterly earnings reporting.
Based on stock price tanking, I am not sure past patterns are as applicable. The company may do large layoffs every month. Guess we will find out later this month (May) & the next month (June).
