Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

We're watching you LBT!

An RTO to spread culture and encourage collaboration and an RTO to encourage attrition don't look remotely like each other, and right now what you're doing looks very much like the latter.

And that creates an adversarial relationship between management and employees. Pay the dam packages due if you need a smaller team.

One Intel starts from the top -- or fails from the top

I agree with previous. You should have taken the last package. Check your vision next time, big Whiner

RTO is about real estate - not about collaboration.

@aw having a meltdown real-time is hilarious. See you in the office soon!

It seems there is not a good metric to measure who worked, who worked better, who worked harder.

Just sit in office cubes will not solve anything.

@ae+1jt8fgk40

That may apply to you, you insufferable buffoon, but don't be simple-minded enough to believe it's universal.

Let me clarify this enough so even you can understand.

I WILL NOT comply
I WILL NOT leave (without a fat severance)

Whatcha gonna do now, big talker?

Where can I watch him doing strip dance to attract Intel talents RTO?

@ac.. employees are losing the advantage that they gained during the pandemic. If you have something to say to your employer say it to them instead of posting on an obscure web site. See where that gets you. You have no leverage on the company polices. Comply or leave. Come back and tell us how long it takes you to find your next job and whether or not they have the same or worse policies.

"Stop complaining about RTO and move on."

Oh fo' sho'

Trundle in like obedient little drones. Don't make any noise or bring forth anything the big brains aren't going to like. Staple your mouth into a grin if you have to.

I'm sure that's a winning long-term strategy. Till then, keep us all updated on how that gruel tastes

I don't believe OP is watching.

Who cares if you are watching? What are you going to do if you don’t like what you see? You don’t seem to understand your position in this matter. You really don’t have any say in what is going to happen.

RTO is happening and complaining on an anonymous layoff board will not change that.

I hope both of you wind up outside the company with no package. RTO for collaboration is just fine. Sneaky ways to not pay severance are not.

@a4: which site do I work for that is in an at-will state?

OP... there are no damages due. Your employment is at will. You can leave when you want and they can terminate your employment when they want. The only thing they are required to do is meet the conditions of WARN so you will either get 60 days notice and you continue to work or they pay you for 60 days and you leave immediately.

Get ready for the impacts that are coming. Intel has too many employees by any measure. They have made it clear that products and projects will be eliminated. It is highly likely that the people working on those products and projects today will be gone when the announcements are made. They will weed out the low performers in the rest of workforce that stays via performance reviews.

Stop complaining about RTO and move on. You knew it was coming and now it is here so deal with it. You might be watching LBT but he will be watching you too. If you are not delivering relevant results you will be invited to go work someplace else.

And yet one thing is the same, RTO. We need to get back together, have attendance integrity and remove the bloat.

The 2 new idea suggestion portals are great first steps. unfortunately the company wide one 1/5 f the post seem to be about self servicing ideas or about RTO complaints. This RTO on hybrid is going to lose some talent, but it is also going to get rid of a lot of dead weight. Overall I understand and support management going for it. For those fully remote I sure hope their managers fight for them, but I expect they understand the dire situation Intel is in and are also preparing for the worst
