You’re spot on about the codependency. Unfortunately people’s mannerisms and psychological behaviors cannot be hidden no matter the narrative. I got kicks from making people lie about their motives. Actions are everything.
I walked around our site talking sm--k and handing whoopins every chance I got. Every time I prevailed some minion would go crying to HR and leadership. I loved it!
I compare working at GEBH to being homeless. Just walking around flexing at will getting it done acting like nothing mattered because it didn’t. Out performing even directors and they all knew it. Giving high-5s to the boyz and letting the pretenders know that they were just that, pretending.
I thought kite boarding could be a cool hobby until I met an idjiot liar claiming he was an extreme athlete. Turns out he was an extreme narcissistic liar who was borderline…..

Baker Hughes are finishing the job, & the demise has definitely accelerated under their leadership.
You would have to replace the Management structure from the very top to the very bottom to make any sort of difference, & that isn’t going to happen at this point in time.
Remember- $hit floats to the top & trickles down from there.
This has become a pen pushing exercise – BH are no longer serious about the O&G Business, so don’t go holding your breath for a better future.
For the Narcissists who now run BH, it’s all going to plan.
Took GE 16 years to figure that the business was plummeting towards failure while hyperinflating stock price.
Maybe BH Leadership should focus on creating customers, keeping customers, and the money will take care of itself. Jack Welch playbook.
Anyone can manipulate a financial statement. Maybe time to get someone who understands the oil service business and how to bring back accountability at the management level. Need real leadership out there, not copycats.
I agree, more streamlining coming to Aberdeen. Many staff showing signs of becoming burn’t out.
Layoffs have been happening at a piecemeal rate for years now, across the globe, using low but frequent numbers so as to not attract the attention of the press & relevant labour authorities.
Sorry, but this is not something that should come as a surprise.
