Saying is you don't know what you have till it's gone. They knew what they had but they didn't care.

Companies were sold a bill of goods as for what current AI can actually do. Then they laid off workers in anticipation of the savings before they even implemented the AI. Now they're realizing it can barely do 20-30% of what was promised. Too late.

Interesting article but it misses one key fact about IBM - where Alvind and his P1mpmumk management are concerned it does not matter who has to be thrown off the sinking Titanic (IBM), just so long as Alvind gets his $100 million bonus in 2026. It's all about greed and more greed. IBM HR could not care less about employees. Otherwise, why would you have NDAs and settlements for so many IBM lawsuits ?

PERSONNEL was for EMPLOYEES and did a great job helping employees be great everyday. Then the wicked witches of the east came in and PERSONNEL was retired and HR took over and HR could care less about employees and just is ruthless to rob and undermine employees every hour of everyday.

I think all the employee facing HR in IBM is gone, replaced by a hopelessly inept AskHR AI.

Whether there is any HR management left, I dunno.

So there may not be any HR folks in IBM to read this and make recommendations to the rest of the company, not that the rest of the company would pay any attention to them.

The point of HR these days in IBM USA (and many other companies) is to facilitate layoffs and movement of jobs offshore.
