the day i see cisco join nortel will be a hapoy day for many.
J2 is a thief his posts and interviews are scripted saying nothing innovative. Can his bald head
You have a product guy - surrounded by 10VPs Go imagine. And on the engineering side - let me not even get started
What is SBG doing? Playing catching up to be in the race. At least that’s what leadership has been saying for half a decade.
SR VP, VP-VP, Sr Mgr, Mgr
you forgot Sr DIR, DIR :-)
Honestly getting rid of Sr VP and Sr managers would make the most sense. As of now the structure goes SR VP, VP-VP, Sr Mgr, Mgr. At least two layers gone right there. Cut those layers across all geo’s and verticals and watch the magic start!
At least the stock price will go up a penny after the LR, lol
people gather together to accomplish so little
what does that mean? too many useless employees ? how they got there.
many decades in this industry, been at great/good/bad/disaster companies
never have I witnessed more people gather together to accomplish so little as I have witnessed in SBG
this has been the case for many years and on multiple teams
leadership is complicit and/or has simply given up
at this point I think you just hire hundreds of people on the sly overseas and have the study and learn the code unbeknownst to SBG staff in North America...once the overseas folks have figured it out, you just cut the whole operation over. you'll still end up with low performance but for 20% of the cost
It’s mostly a sweatshop now.
Besides the usual bigotry, nepotism, and classic incompetence by our directors and VP, we basically had "zoom all over again" by convincing the actual hard workings brains to quit and form a competing product in datacenter AI security, so we're looking pretty foolish now that the one good AI product we started is now owned by our competitors. Then there's Zscaler eating our lunch, and Arista and MSFT scooping up the little remaining talent. Most engineers are hedging bets on whether or not the LR packages will be reduced and they should look for a new job, or just keep fa----g around until they're LR'ed and replaced with cheap labor. Business as usual: setting the benchmark for laziness and incompetence at scale, baby.
SBG is what you get when a hardware company thinks software and subscription revenue is "easy"
buybacks are evil but CSCO would be in the $90s if all the $$$ plowed into SBG had just been redirected to buying back their own stock
Sinking Business Group
whats SBG?!?
"If you are in the US and part of SBG this is a great time to look for other opportunities. You have been warned."
Maybe it is better to wait to get laid off and get the package.

GSSO on course for a 20% impact.
Every GEO expected to be hit. Some missing by -10% or more.
Hopefully DB will be fired!
More layoffs are coming to SBG.
